What can we add to all the beautiful words other than that we fully agree! So Friendly, Caring, Thoughtful and with very worthwhile suggestions for getting the most out of Cumbria. We hope to come back to enjoy as much as we did already!
What a wonderful respite for the weary walker! It was difficult to get us out of the door because we were enjoying Jim and Tinas hospitality so much! Thank you for the beautiful surroundings and delicious breakfast, Lunch and for being a laundry angel.
What can we say. It has all been said in the previous comments. A wonderful B&B in all respects. Comfortable bedroom, a top quality breakfast and unbelievable value for money! And… all is garnished by the welcoming and friendly style of our hosts Jim and Tina.
Beautiful room and facilities in a comfortable home. But it is especially the attention to detail that made this stay so special for us whilst on our Coast to Coast walk. Thanks for everything Tina and Jim.
We stayed at Primrose Cottage, Tebay for one night on our hike across the UK, as part of the Wainwright Walk. We wished we could have stayed longer! Our concerns about being away from the path at Orton were quickly dispersed with a pick up from Orton after our long day's walk. We stayed in the house in a large and beautiful room with a four poster bed. Crisp linen, soft towels and warm and friendly hospitality revived us. The soaking of tired, aching feet whilst sitting in the garden did wonders for the soul. We were happily driven back to Orton in the evening for a meal. Nothing was too much trouble. Our breakfast deserves a special mention....the lightest and most creamy scrambled eggs with smoked salmon we have ever tasted! Primrose Cottage was the best accommodation experience we had on our entire journey across the UK. Well worth the detour and I would definitely recommend this accommodation for the warmth of the hosts and the comfort all round. A haven!
Six of us Coast to Coast walkers stayed at Primrose Cottage, Tebay in Aug 2014. Two of us won the toss and got an immaculate self-contained flat, complete with modern bathroom, kitchen and lounge. It was spotless and we had the most comfortable night in 3 weeks - the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Our friends got a large comfortable room with 4-poster bed and sitting area - they loved it! Oh, and did we get spoiled at breakfast with all the choices! Jim and Tina, the friendly hosts, prepared scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for us...YUM! They have only just taken over this B&B but have a wealth of experience, having researched many B&Bs themselves and now offering the very best in hospitality, comfort, cleanliness and ambience. Oh, how we would love to go back for more!
Thank you so much for your kindness and concern when the car broke down. A really friendly welcome and super comfy bed for a good nights sleep.
Thankyou Tina and Jim for a wonderful stay at your delightful B&B. We really appreciated the warm and friendly welcome. The rooms are very attractive and comfortable and the area is so beautiful. The breakfast was superb, thank you. We can't wait to visit again!
We really enjoyed our stay and were made so welcome.
Wonderful spot and people. All the best for the future.
